HRE Development:
- The final TMG import phase for Sources, Citations and Repositories is nearing completion
- The HRE implementation eliminates the restrictive TMG concept of Source Element groups, provides Source Elements in multiple languages and provides (for new projects) a new set of Source definitions, (based loosely on Mill’s Evidence Explained 4th edition) in multi-language formats
- The next step is to complete a testing process of this HRE development phase and prepare for releasing HRE to a broader test community.
HRE Presentations:
- The then current status of HRE was presented to the TMG Down Under Australasian group in October
- The next presentation to RUG will be made in March 2026
- A recording of the RUG presentation will be made available in the normal way on the RUG website at https://www.rootsusers.org/ under ‘RUG Meeting Presentations’.
The Future:
- After the intended ‘shake-down’ by a larger test group and implementation of a number of improvements already requested by testers a decision will be made by the HRE Board regarding a general release strategy. It should be stressed that at this stage a number of TMG’s features, such as Relationship to Focus person, Primary event indication, Primary name per event and Aggregate Surety display, amongst others, are not yet implemented in HRE.
